Delightful Maori Cultural encounter - Unforgettable Maori Cultural experience

Yesterday we had a Tour group leader from one tour company who this year has 47 coach arrivals in the Bay of Islands during the summer season. After coming out and experiencing our Tourism experience he came to me when everyone else had departed and apologised to me. I stood there and looked at him in a rather quizical manner and asked why he was being apologetic and he said it was due to the fact that he had not done us and our TE HOENGA WAKA - HARURU FALLS maori cultural experience justice when offering up optional activities to their punters when coming into the Bay of Islands.

REAL MAORI CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

He said that when he offers our experience he offers it as Quote "Just a paddle in a Maori canoe on the Waitangi river" and yesterday after coming out on the experience truly was an eye opener to him. He didnt realize that it was an actual real, non commercialized and in his eyes the most Authentic Maori cultural experience in New Zealand. He apologized and told me that he was going to go back to the drawing board and try and work out how he can put into words the experience he had just ecountered? whihc was he said no easy task. Words and pictures cannot even begin to explain the experience one has during this amazing adventure. He wondered how he might be able to convey our Waka experience to his punters without having to compare the quality of competing Maori Tourism product in Northland. In the Bay of Islands his dilemma is how does he convey the difference of the Maori Waka voyage to the Maori cultural shows which are currently on offer in the Bay of Islands and do it in a way where he isnt making one appear to be better than the other.

ENLIGHTENMENT

After some discussion we came up with a potential byline which may need some further work however for now he is going to use this phrase when he is offering up Maori product in the Bay of Islands.
