NEW PRODUCT 2010 !!.....exclusive coach tour group Waka experience
Starting in season 2010 we are introducing a new Waka tour program aimed at providing an exclusive Maori cultural experience for individual tour groups visiting the Bay of Islands. Unlike other visitor activities in the Bay of Islands where competing tour groups are all herded together into one activity forming part of a larger audience, we can guarantee that individual tour groups will be the only participants during their exclusive interactive Waka voyage and Maori experience. What a fantastic point of difference!! Include this exclusive tour group Maori cultural experience in your tour coach itinerary and we promise you that your customers will love you for doing so.
AUTHENTIC AND EXCLUSIVE
If you want to know the real facts about Maori culture then hands on, interactive and engaging participation is the only way you will ever really truly understand this strange, unique and most ancient of Polynesian cultures. Join us on our Waka voyage and we promise, you will participate in a cultural encounter of which memories will remain written in your heart for the rest of your life, throw in the beautiful untouched native flora and fauna landscapes of the tranquil, tidal Waitangi River, an exotic uninhabited Island, some sandy beaches, a waterfall, traditional Maori customs and rituals, a couple of Ngapuhi story tellers whose traditional knowledge, oratory and non scripted story telling skills are legendary in the Bay of Islands and plenty of photo opportunities, we have all the ingredients guaranteed to send your customer experience and satisfaction levels sky high during their once in a lifetime NZ holiday.
ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
We are aiming to work with Tour group companies and their already existing holiday itineraries therefore we are exploring the possibiliy begining the voyage at 8.30am arriving back at 12.30pm providing more than enough time for them to rejoin their normal holiday itinerary and group activities like taking the atfernoon dolphin viewing cruise or visiting either Kerikeri or Russell. A very nice and tidy full day activity package indeed!...
OLD & NEW
Our 2 new Waka have been constructed using both modern and traditional materials and are based on the traditional design of our famous ocean going Waka Taua which captain Cook observed upon his arrival in these Islands in 1769. Each of these vessels are capable of carrying up to 32 pax – paddlers each and the safety and stability record of the Polynesian designed twin hull configuration is well known throughout the Maritime communities of the world.
